Southern Adelaide Innovation Award Winners 2009

During the Southern Adelaide Innovation Forum the Board were pleased to announce the winners of this year's Innovation Awards.

These awards have been established to offer recognition and support to businesses in the south and also include a cash prize of $3,000 per award, kindly sponsored by Zero Waste and the SA Centre for Innovation.

Our congratulations to this year’s two winners:



Rob Reynolds of Easytest Pty Ltd with Ian Harvey of Zero Waste. Easytest received their award for the most innovative product in the Small to Medium Enterprise section of this year’s awards, for their innovative By-Pass RDC tester (Residual Current Devices – simply put - safety switches).




Michael Paays of Redarc Technologies with Greg Boundy of the SA Centre for Innovation. Redarc received their award for the most innovative product in the Large Enterprise section of this year's awards for their innovative Smart StartR Battery Management System which is designed to offer a complete solution to battery charging and maintenance needs for trucking, recreational automotive, marine, mining and even defence vehicle applications. The unit is designed to charge today’s automotive type batteries to their optimal charge level from either mains power (AC), vehicle power (DC) or solar power.

The Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board congratulates both companies on their success in the 2009 Innovation awards.
